The sacrifice Chris Hemsworth made to kiss Natalie Portman in Thor
Actress Natalie Portman, who plays Dr. Jane Foster in Thor: Love and Thunder, revealed on British radio an unusual thing that Chris Hemsworth did before a kiss scene with her.
Portman noted that she is a vegan, while Hemsworth follows a very strict diet, eating meat 10 times a day to maintain his physique. However, Portman revealed that the famous actor didn't eat meat before the kiss scene.
"He's really nice. He's really a good guy," Portman told Tessa Thompson on Capital Breakfast With Roman Kemp.
"The day we had a kiss scene he didn't eat meat that morning because I'm vegan. And he eats meat like every half hour.
"Like, that was so thoughtful. That's not something I'm angry about or care about, but he was just being thoughtful. He's a very nice person.
"I didn't even know he could go without eating meat. He's just like eating bison in the morning. That's so sweet."
According to Chris' trainer, Luke Zocchi, for the actor to maintain his muscles, he needs to consume around 4,500 calories a day, while following a very intense and specific exercise routine.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, Portman said that she had to gain muscle ahead of the film shooting.
"It's pretty unusual and wonderful to be tasked with getting bigger as a woman," she said.
"Most of the body transformations we're asked to make are to be as small as possible and there's an emotional and sociological correlate to that."
